Parental controls
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Musefap is for adults only. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, to use it. If you are a parent or guardian, or you share a device with a child, this page explains how to keep them off the site.
1. What Musefap does
Every page carries the RTA (“Restricted To Adults”) label in two places: a rating meta tag in the page and a Rating HTTP header. Parental control software and family-safe browsers that support the label block the pages that carry it, so you do not have to add Musefap to a block list by hand.
Support differs between products and a label is not a guarantee. Use the steps below as well, so a child stays protected even if one layer misses.
2. Block adult websites on your child’s devices
- iPhone, iPad and Mac: Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → Web Content → Limit Adult Websites.
- Android and Chromebook: the Family Link app, with the content restrictions for the browser and web turned on.
- Windows and Xbox: Microsoft Family Safety, with the web and search filters turned on. These filters apply in Microsoft Edge, so block other browsers on the device too.
Give each child their own account with these settings on, keep the passcode to yourself, and do not let a child use your adult account.
3. Block it for the whole home network
- Many routers have a parental control or adult-site filter in their settings.
- Family DNS filters block adult websites for every device on your Wi-Fi once you set them on the router. Several are free.
- Your internet provider or mobile carrier may offer a content filter. Ask them.
A home network filter does not follow a phone onto mobile data, so combine it with the device settings above.
4. Talk about it
Tell children that some sites are for adults only and that they can come to you if they see something that upsets them. Keep devices in shared rooms where you can, and check the settings again after a system update or a new device.
5. If a minor has used Musefap, or you want something removed
Tell us through the contact form and include the email address on the account, if there is one, so we can review it. To report content that should not be on the site, use Report illegal content. To have a specific video or photo taken down, use Content removal. Our Terms of Service do not allow minors to use the site.
